Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security on August 2 launched construction of a social housing project for members of the Public Security force, comprising more than 1,400 homes in Tan Hung Commune, Hung Yen Province.

The development covers a site of more than 51,000 square metres and includes roads, parking areas, green spaces, water features, a kindergarten, social housing and commercial housing. More than 34,000 square metres have been designated for residential use, including approximately 27,440 square metres for social housing.
Under the approved plan, the project will consist of six 15-storey apartment buildings containing 1,332 social housing units, together with 74 five-storey commercial townhouses. The total floor area will be nearly 195,000 square metres, providing accommodation for more than 3,500 residents upon completion.
The project is being developed by Thang Long Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company and is scheduled to run from the first quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2028.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Dang Hong Duc, deputy minister of Public Security, said the project carried significant political and social importance, helping improve housing conditions for police officers while implementing the government's policy of expanding housing for the People's Public Security force.
Duc instructed the developer to devote maximum resources to accelerating construction while ensuring high construction standards, architectural quality and strict compliance with regulations on workplace safety, fire prevention, fire protection and environmental protection.
The developer pledged to mobilise sufficient financial resources, personnel and equipment to complete the project on schedule, or ahead of schedule if possible. It also committed to maintaining strict quality control throughout construction, complying with all investment and building regulations, and gradually introducing digital technologies into the management and operation of the residential complex.
