The festival will get underway with traditional ritual ceremonies, unique moves from the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation, and a puppet show.
Highlights on subsequent days include an “ao dai” (Vietnam’s traditional dress) show featuring famous local fashion designers and performances of worship rituals, “chau van” (traditional folk art from northern Vietnam combining trance singing and dancing), and “hau dong” (a ritual practiced in Vietnamese folk religion and for the Mother Goddess).
Local products from different parts of the country will also be introduced.
There will also be a program honoring enterprises that have made important contributions to the development of Vietnam’s culture in particular and the country in general.
The festival is expected to attract about 80,000 to 100,000 local and foreign visitors.
