UNDP Administrator Helen Clark has begun a four-day visit to Vietnam on March 21 to explore challenges Vietnam is facing in its transition to a middle income nation.
She will deliver a speech at an international seminar on economic reform and sustainable growth, dwelling on international experience and lessons for Vietnam.
The seminar will be co-hosted by the Vietnamese government and the UNDP on March 24-25.
Before the seminar, she will make a fact-finding trip and meet with officials and local communities in the south to inquire into the living conditions of poor and vulnerable groups there.
