
Two people have died after a truck plunged off a bridge into a valley 30 metres deep while running on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway on August 15.
According to a report from local authorities, the accident occurred at around 8 am on August 15 when the truck carrying two people suddenly crashed into the barrier of the Khe Sang Bridge and fell off into a valley.

"It was raining slightly at that time and the empty truck was running at high speed," the report said. "Police and people on the scene found two severely injured men inside the truck which was heavily damaged. The two men were rushed to the Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital but they died at noon the same day due to serious injuries."
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Four days earlier on August 12, another accident also occurred on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway, leaving one dead and one injured.
The Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway spans 256 km, running through Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, and Lao Cai.
