Three-metre snake causes panic at Dak Lak hospital

A three-metre-long snake slithered into a hospital courtyard in Dak Lak, alarming patients and visitors before it was safely captured.

Officials at Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital confirmedon April 19 the animal had been handed over to local forest rangers for handling in line with regulations.

At around 10 am the same day, the snake, weighing about 5kg, appeared near the hospital’s parking area before moving along walkways towards the main gate.

The incident caused panic among people visiting and seeking treatment, with some running away while others assisted security staff in surrounding the animal to prevent it from entering hospital buildings.

After several minutes, the snake was successfully restrained and transferred to authorities.

Witnesses suggested the animal may have emerged from nearby bushes due to hot weather in search of water.
