Passengers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport
From April 28 to May 3, Tan Son Nhat International Airport will serve a total of 4,466 flights with a total of 755,910 passengers, up 18.03 percent and 32.79 percent respectively.
The airport will arrange more staff to support security screening after instruction by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
Vietnamese airlines have conducted hundreds of additional flights to meet travel demand for Reunification Day and International Labour Day.
Budget carrier VietJet Air has added 330 flights with a total of 70,000 seats, up 20 percent compared to normal. Most flights link Hanoi and HCM City with the tourism hubs such as Nha Trang, Danang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Hue, Vinh, Buon Ma Thuot and Pleiku.
