The State Audit Office issued a plan to launch an in-depth audit of all economic groups and commercial banks.

The State Audit Office, and Government Inspectorate issued a plan October 8 to launch an in-depth audit of all economic groups and commercial banks during the 2013-2015 period on every aspects.

Land management activities and mineral exploitation will also be closely inspected. This plan aims to improve the competitiveness of domestic businesses.

The head of the State Audit Office said that inspections would be carried out in all state owned groups and banks in order to aid in the government’s restructuring plans, with a focus particularly on the efficient use of public funds.

The State Audit Office of Vietnam asked the Government Inspectorate to draft audit a plan.

The State Audit Office has also completed a draft audit plan under the direction of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Central Committee Inspectorate and the Prime Minister along with suggestions from the Government Inspectorate and the Ministry of Finance.

As of July, 3,952 of 5,657 State-owned enterprises had been equitised while another other 1,905 enterprises had been merged, sold or converted into one-member limited liability companies.
