The Minister of Transport, along with several other state officials joined in a walk with 5,000 young people on January 6, in Hanoi to raise awareness on transport safety.

The walk was part of the "Youth with traffic culture" festival. Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang along with other state officials had joined the walk.
The day aimed to raise awareness and encourage people to follow traffic rules, as well as inform young people of their responsibilities while driving.
An exhibition was also held. Most of the pictures were drawn by primary students excelled in a contest held by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the National Traffic Safety Committee to highlight the issue.
The exhibition, located near Thien Quang Lake and Thong Nhat Park attracted much attention.
The atmosphere became more jovial after 100 high school students joined in the Golden Bell Challenge for games that also dealt with traffic safety.
