Under the agreement, the seven will focus on solutions to ensure safety for tourists, building a digital map on safe tourism for each locality and carrying out tourism stimulus and communication activities.
In the coming time, the tourism stimulus promotion will be expanded to foreign investors and experts in Vietnam.
To ensure the success, it is important to have close connections among tourism service providers, including airlines.
Trinh Hang, director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, said that after the seven localities’ first tourism stimulus programme in June, the number of visitors to the province reached 1.7 million in July, up 15.3% on-year.
The province has also ensured all local tourist sites to be safe to welcome travellers. The sites and all local hotels and restaurants have also pledged to reduce prices for visitors, ranging from 10-30%, from now to the year-end.
