During a recent working visit to the central city of Da Nang, Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Simon Wong told the municipal People’s Committee Chairman Tran Van Minh that Singapore wants to establish its consulate general in the city.
The ambassador said that the visit is also aimed at making the feasibility study for a project on building a marina in Da Nang, and surveying the construction of an international university and an international hospital here.
At the working session, Mr. Tran Van Minh said the successful implementation of the marina project will help to beef up the cooperative ties between Da Nang and Singapore. He proposed the Singaporean side carry out projects on building the university and hospital soon, because education and healthcare are now promising fields for investors.
A Singaporean business delegation will arrive in Da Nang in July.
