The Marina Bay Sands' Sky Park offers unique views of Singapore. |
Singapore will soon provide a glimpse into the world's most expensive building, Marina Bay Sands, an integrated resort related to the Venetian Macao. Marina Bay Sands is expected to become the icon of Singapore boasting its massive casino and the world's largest sky park on the rooftop.
The Marina Bay Sands is one-of-a-kind in Southeast Asia. This unique building has three towers labeled the "dancing towers" by renowned architect Moshe Safdie. Each tower sways upward in a different curve unique from the other towers. The design concept was modeled after the mythological gardens of Babylon since the whole building will be elevate to the sky and covered with hanging flora from top to bottom. The towers are connected on the 65th floor with the Sky Park which is 7000 tons of steel and home to the world largest cantilever, swimming pools, night clubs, restaurants and 360 degree viewing observation open to the whole skyline of Singapore. MBS is the most expensive building in history with the investment of 5.5 billion US dollars.
Both Venetian Macao and MBS have received the full approval of Feng Shui masters, not only the blessing for the design but all the dates regarding opening and important events are also based around Feng shui.
On April 27, MBS will give a sneak peak of half of the property without the Sky Park. The grand opening event will take place on June 23-24, highlighted by a tower jump festival, which will break a world record in jumping from the high towers. Jumps will be performed by 45 of the world's most well-known base-jumpers which coincides with the 45th anniversary of Singapore. It will also include climbing up the building and jumps from helicopters hovering around the buildings by jumpers with wings suits.
