Torrential rains triggered by Typhoon Bualoi have caused heavy flooding in north-central provinces including Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Hanoi.

On Hoang Tung Street

In Hanoi, streets such as Hoang Tung, Nam An Khanh and Tay Mo Ward were submerged 0.5 to 0.7 metres.

Water rises to 0.7 metres on Thang Long Boulevard on the morning of September 30.

Along Thang Long Boulevard, water rose to 0.7 metres, leaving cars and motorbikes stranded and in need of rescue.

Floodwaters surge 5 to 7 metres in Nghe An Province on September 29.

In the north-central province of Nghe An’s Quy Chau Commune, floodwaters surged 5 to 7 metres overnight, submerging villages, houses and fields. Hundreds of households were evacuated to safety.

National Highway 1A in Ha Tinh Province is deeply submerged on September 30.

In Ha Tinh, Lam River overflowed, inundating parts of National Highway 1A from Nghi Xuan Commune to Bac Hong Linh Ward, where floodwaters reached nearly half a metre and stretched over two kilometres.
