Lam Dong Province's Department of Construction said the new traffic plan will introduce restrictions on several roads in central Dalat.
Under the new rules, coaches with more than 29 seats will be banned from parts of Hai Ba Trung Street and from travelling straight or making U-turns at the Phan Dinh Phung-Tan Da intersection. Right turns from Tan Da Street onto Phan Dinh Phung Street will also be prohibited.
Large coaches will also be banned from stopping or parking on Nguyen Van Cu and Ba Thang Hai streets, while parking restrictions will apply on Bui Thi Xuan Street from 7 pm to 9 pm and on Pham Ngu Lao, Ba Trieu, Nguyen Van Cu and Nguyen Chi Thanh streets.
In addition, trucks weighing more than 1.5 tonnes will be banned from several routes during peak hours from 6 am to 8 am, 10 am to noon, and 4 pm to 6 pm, including sections of Ngo Quyen-Hai Ba Trung, La Son Phu Tu-Hai Ba Trung, Ba Thang Hai-Tran Phu and Dang Thuy Tram-Hoang Van Thu streets.
Authorities said the measures are intended to ease congestion on roads in central Dalat.
