Thousands of people flocked to the zoo to see the one-month old tiger cubs.

This rare tiger is facing the risk of extinction and tops the list of wild animals which needs being protected. They are found to live in Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, China and Nepal.

Zoo staff said that the cubs were in good health and had adapted well to the local climate in their first month. They weigh 3.6-4.1 kilogrammes.

Pham Viet Lam, the zoo director, said that in the first few days following the birth, they faced many difficulties, as one of three small tigers was very weak. The mother had ignored the weak cub to focus on the two stronger cubs, which forced the staff members to provide special milk to feed the neglected cub.

The Canadian white tiger pair were brought to Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden in 2009 from Elmvale Jungle Zoo, which is located in Ontario.

According to World Wildlife Fund (WWF), some 2,300 white tigers are still alive, most of which are raised in captivity.
