The rain started at around 6 pm on Monday in Quy Nhon and lasted for hours, putting some local streets under water.
The rain has resulted in the collapse of trees and electrical pylons on Hoang Van Thu Street. As a result, substantial subsidence has appeared on the street.
The affected road section near Phu Tai 2 apartment building has been zoned off to ensure safety.
Some 500 households along Hoang Van Thu Street have suffered from power outages.
The subsidence has disrupted the domestic water supply for many households in the area.
