Six workers working for the Dong Vong Coal Company died from suffocation in a coal mine located in Quang Ninh Province.
Coal mine workers always face potential risks
The incident occurred early on January 16 in the mine in Hong Thai Dong Commune, Dong Trieu District.
All of the victims retrieved were working during the same time.
The chairman of Quang Ninh Province People’s Committee urged local management agencies to inspect the cause and offer support to the families of victims.
There was another mining accident on November 24, 2013, in which a cart carrying workers in the Canh Ga coal mine in Quang Ninh Province suddenly derailed, claiming the lives of three, who worked for the Vang Danh Coal Company.
Also, on July 31 last year, three officials of the Dong Vong Coal Company died of asphyxiation in a coal mine in Uong Bi District.
