The VND3.20 trillion six-lane road will be built by 2029 on the western coast of the island, linking the administrative centre near Duong Dong River and Provincial Road 975B.

Once completed, the road is expected to facilitate travel around the local urban areas and Phu Quoc Seaport, as well as open access to public beaches for visitors.

Phu Quoc has so far received 5.40 million tourists this year, up 14.50 percent from the same period last year but only 90.70 percent of this year’s targeted figure, according to statistics from Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee.
