The controversy started when a Facebook user uploaded the photos and claimed to see naked depictions would ‘destroy’ children's childhood.

The nude statues are complained by visitors who say they would ‘destroy’ children's childhood.
After the concerns, the Hon Dau International Tourism Company which put up the statues a decade ago then dressed them in swimwear. However, the statues were criticised for looking even uglier in this way.

Then the company decided to cover the statues with fake foliage.

According to Hoang Van Thieng, director and chairman of Hon Dau International Tourism Company, management agencies had not expressed any opinions about the statutes.
Artist Tran Minh Tuan, who produced the sculptures said everyone has a body no matter their zodiac sign and they should be seen as a natural masterpiece. It needed to be respected.
