According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, northern and central localities would experience 20-80 mm of rainfall. Warnings of flash floods and landslides have also been issued for mountainous areas.

The rain would stop on August 22 with the highest rainfall to be on August 20-21.

In the three days to come, localities from the central city of Danang to the southern central province of Binh Thuan would witness rain. The same weather would also occur in the Central Highlands and southern regions.

Between now and February next year, the East Sea would face up to ten storms and low tropical pressure, including three to five that would hit Vietnam. Between October and November this year, the central and southern regions of Vietnam would see torrential rains with rainfall higher than in many years.
