The northern region of Vietnam has been forecasted to experience another cold snap from Tuesday with a sharp temperature fall.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the northeastern and northern central regions’ temperature would drop by 5-6 degrees centigrade from Tuesday evening. The regions would see highest temperatures of 20-22 degrees centigrade.

On January 3, the northern region would have rain.

The lowest temperature in the north would be 12-14 degrees centigrade and even eight degrees centigrade in some high mountainous areas. The cold weather would end on January 5.

Meanwhile, central localities from Quang Binh to Phu Yen would witness downpours on January 3-4.

The Central Highlands and southern regions would have sunny weather with the highest temperature of 33-35 degrees centigrade on the first day of the New Year.
