Northern localities are facing hot weather following a long, heavy rainy spell. On July 26-27, the northern and northern central regions will have temperatures of 35-37 degrees celsius.

Vietnam's northern region will struggle with heavy rain starting from July 28.


From July 28, rain would return to the north, with mountainous areas hardest hit.

The National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting reported that the northern region would face more rain between July and September.

Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and southern regions will also experience more rain, with 10-30mm of rainfall, mostly concentrated in the afternoon and evening.

People have been warned of strong winds and hail.

Due to the impact of Storm Prapiroon, many northern areas had torrential rain, causing severe inundation, including those in Hanoi.
