According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, many localities saw heavy rain on Thursday with an average rainfall of 30-60 mm. Some mountainous areas experienced flooding and landslides.

The northern region of Vietnam would experience a hot spell from Saturday
From June 26, the hot weather will return to the north. The localities from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen have also forecasted to face the same weather with the highest temperature from 35-38 degrees centigrade.
On June 26-28, the UV index in many cities and provinces would be very high, particularly in the southern region.
The hot weather has raised fire warnings, particularly in areas with high demand for electricity use and forest fires in the central region.
Health experts recommend people wear protective clothing, including long-sleeved shirts, collared jackets, trousers, and wide hats to cover their face, neck and ears.
People should wear sunglasses with UV protection.
