The northern region of Vietnam has been forecasted to continue facing heavy rain until the end of Friday, according to the National Centre for Hydrometeorology Forecasting.

The northern region of Vietnam has been forecasted to continue facing heavy rain until the end of Friday, according to the National Centre for Hydrometeorology Forecasting’s Weather Forecast Department.

On Wednesday evening, many areas in the north saw torrential rains including Na Tau in Dien Bien, Nam Chay in Lao Cai, Yen The in Yen Bai and Luc Yen in Yen Bai.

Flash floods and landslides have been warned for mountainous areas following rains.

Hanoi will also have thunderstorms from Thursday evening.

Localities from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue provinces will experience hot weather, while some localities would face rains in the evening. The same weather would also occur from Danang City to Binh Thuan Province.

Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and southern regions will witness heavy rains and strong wind on July 29-31 with the rainfall of 30-60 mm/24 hours.
