Lying in the central district of Hai Chau, the city's biggest market with over 800 stalls is a popular place for tourists.
Local authorities started updating the market in September 2022 after 30 years of operation.
After nearly six months, the upgrade work has nearly completed. The gates, walls, and stairs now all have a new colour.
The gates and entrances have been rebuilt with larger spaces.
A trader, Xuan Thanh, said that her stall has a new, better design. She hopes that this will attract more visitors and customers.
A tourist information centre is set up inside the market.
According to deputy head of Han Market Management Board, Nguyen Thu, the market welcomes around 10,000 visitors who are mostly international tourists everyday.
"We hope to receive more visitors in the coming time after the market upgrade is completed," he said.
