Nearly 16 kilos of ecstasy seized.
A young man allegedly ordered nearly 16 kilos of ecstasy from Hanoi to resell to drug addicts. The drugs were disguised in packaging for sweets and cosmetic products.
On April 7, the Drug Crime Investigation Department of Binh Duong Provincial Police reported that, in co-ordination with Hanoi Police, Hanoi Customs, and Thu Dau Mot City Police, they had dismantled a drug trafficking ring and seized close to 16 kilos of ecstasy.
The suspect, Doan Vu Anh Hoang, 32, originally from Binh Phuoc Province, was taken into custody for investigation.

Through professional surveillance techniques, officers from Binh Duong Police caught Hoang red-handed while transporting a shipment containing nearly 16 kilos of ecstasy. The drugs were hidden inside bags of candy and bottles typically used for cosmetics.
A subsequent urgent search of Hoang’s residence, located in the Hiep Thanh Residential Area in Hiep Thanh Ward, led to the discovery of a white plastic container filled with crystalline substances, along with various tools suspected to be linked to the illegal drug trade.
During questioning, Hoang confessed that the ecstasy had been purchased in Hanoi for VND400 million, with the intention of reselling it to drug users in HCM City, Binh Duong, and Binh Phuoc provinces.
The case remains under further investigation.
