Five more airports in the central region of Vietnam have been suspended as Typhoon Noru nears.

Five more airports in the central region of Vietnam have been suspended as Typhoon Noru nears.

The airports namely Vinh, Dong Hoi, Tuy Hoa, Buon Ma Thuot and Lien Khuong have been halted between midday Tuesday and midnight Wednesday.

Dong Hoi and Vinh airports will be closed from 10 pm on Tuesday to 8 pm on Wednesday. Tuy Hoa Hoa Airport will be shut from 3:30 pm on Tuesday to 8 am on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the closure time for Buon Ma Thuot, Lien Khuong and Vinh airports will be closed from midday Tuesday to midday Wednesday, from 4 pm on Tuesday to 4 pm on Wednesday and from 3 am to 4 pm on Wednesday, respectively.

The affected passengers will be supported to change their tickets into other flights which have empty seats.

Earlier, the Southern Airports Authority decided to suspend five airports of Danang, Phu Bai, Pleiku, Chu Lai and Phu Cat from midday Tuesday to midnight Wednesday.

Flights of Vietnam Airlines from these airports will be rescheduled.

Bamboo Airways has also announced to cancel 24 flights on Tuesday and reschedule many other flights. Vietravel Airlines have also canceled eight flights on September 27-28.
