According to a report from Thanh Duc Commune Police Department in Ben Luc District, a group of young local men explored a house in Village 1 on Thursday evening as they were curious about having not seen anyone using the premises for a long time. They found the door was locked from the inside. Peering into the house from a crack in the window with his flashlight, one of the men saw a body which had fully decomposed and all that remained was the skeleton. The men immediately informed the local police.
Initial investigations showed that the body was probably that of a 65-year-old man who used to look after the house for a relative. According to some local residents, he had moved there to live alone several years before and hadn't made friends with his neighbours. He had not been seen since mid-2022.
Police are further investigating the case.
