A man in HCM City has opened a class to help hundreds of children in HCM City, many of whom are orphans who work on the streets selling lottery tickets or collecting scrap but come to his house in the evening in hope of making better lives for themselves.
Up to 130 of them gather at Doan Minh Hung's house from 5pm for his 6pm class.

Mr. Doan Minh Hung
Hung’s small, rented house is also his family’s vegetarian inn, but has several rooms to slit up the children according to their levels of education. Each group has a volunteer teacher, usually a former student, while Hung moves between the classes to set the lessons in motion.
He said he began with two students, but more and more children came to his house, asking for being taught.

Mr. Hung's class
Tieu Ngoc Han, a former student who has been helping as a teacher for a year, said she wanted to help disadvantaged children and it was a chance to do something worthwhile, and gain experience.
Children are also given a meal at the classes, in many cases the only proper meal they have all day, which helps them concentrate on their studies.
