The VND5 trillion (USD205.42 million) bridge, spanning the Tien River was started in December 2020 by the Ministry of Transport's Project Management Unit 7 with capital sourced from the state budget.

The bridge and approach roads have a total length of 6.61 kilometres, starting from an intersection with the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway and ending at an intersection with the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway.

The bridge alone is 1.90 kilometres long and has six lanes and a designed speed of 80 kilometres per hour.

The project was designed, built, and supervised by Vietnamese firms.

PM Pham Minh Chinh arrived to witness the connection of the bridge's last sections in mid-October.

Workers are currently completing the last items, such as the bridge railings and surface, to finish the project.
