This is part of the revised master plan on the development of the Dung Quat Economic Zone in Quang Ngai 2045 signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.

A corner of Ly Son island district
Under the plan, Dung Quat Economic Zone has a total area of 45,332 hectares. Of this, Ly Son island district accounts for 1,492 hectares.
Tourism will be the priority for Ly Son with the construction of new residential areas and tourist sites. A new airport covering 153 hectares will be built in Ly Son.
Ly Son island district is some 17 nautical miles from the mainland. It consists of the three islands of Dao Lon (Big Islet), Dao Be (Small Islet) and the Mu Cu Islet which has a total population of 22,000.
Every year, Ly Son welcomes around 250,000 visitors.
