A young woman wearing a dress made only of lettuce walked the streets around Hanoi's Hoan Kiem Lake to urge people to go vegetarian.
On August 15, the lettuce dress, accompanied by a pepper necklace, attracted the attention of many passers-by.
The girl, who is a student at the Academy of Finance, said that her and her group hoped to raise consciousness about the issue with the message that was written on a board in both English and Vietnamese: "Save the planet: Go vegetarian."
Her group were extremely vocal in lending their support, helping to attract more attention.
Last week, another young woman named Pham Trieu Chinh also wore a dress made of lettuce to call attention to the cause of wildlife protection in Da Lat. She also handed out vegetables to travellers, after asking them to eat greens and avoid wild meats.
