The Tokyo Human Health Sciences University Vietnam has officially opened in Hung Yen Province.

Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien also attended the inauguration ceremony.
The Tokyo Vietnam Medical University is invested by Japan’s Waseda Health Sciences Education Corporation and other Japanese private investors. Construction on the university began in April 2015 in Van Giang Commerce and Tourism Township, Ecopark. The USD20m university has capacity to train 1,200 students a year.
The Japan-Vietnam Medical Training Centre has been completed along with lecture hall, laboratories and other practice classes.

The university is scheduled to enrol its first students in June, providing four-year programmes in physical rehabilitation, physical therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, and medical testing. It is expected to open more faculties for medical testing and imaging and three-year degree programmes in nursing next year.
The university rector Mari Kusumi said graduates would have chances to work at major universities in Vietnam and would be qualified to work in Japan or to pursue higher education in Japan.
