The area, which covers a total area of 6,000 square metres, has been used for food and coffee stalls for many years by the Da Lat Ornamental Creature Association.
Bich Cau area on Xuan Huong Lake
On April 17, the Da Lat People’s Committee assigned Dalat Tourism Service Joint Stock Company to manage the Bich Cau area and transform it into a park.
The company has been asked to add lights, grow more trees and flowers and arrange stone seating. The Work needs to be finished ahead of the coming Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1).
In January, Da Lat authorities decided to withdraw the Bich Cau area from the municipal Ornamental Creature Association.
Located in the centre of Da Lat, Xuan Huong Lake with its crescent shape has long been one of the city’s tourist symbols.
