Large fire at night
The fire on the evening of June 25 started at the Viet Long Packaging Ltd Co in Nhon Trach 3 industrial park and quickly spread to surrounding businesses. Thousands of square metres of factories were destroyed as Dong Nai firemen fought through the night to bring it under control.
Provincial authorities called for more help from the marine forces.
Workers at the park and residents living in surrounding neighbourhoods were evacuated. No injuries were reported and the cost of the fire has yet to be calculated.
