Do Hoang Anh, the second runner-up at this year's Miss Vietnam pageant, will represent the nation in the Miss Earth 2012 competition, which will begin in the Philippines on November 4.
According to the Thanh Nien Communication Group JSC, the Department of Performing Arts approved Hoang Anh's participation in the global beauty contest on October 26.
The 18-year-old, student at the Hanoi University of Culture, is 1.69m tall with measurements of 90-64-95cm.
Anh will wear a bikini designed by Xuan Thu, street clothes and evening gowns by Elise fashions, and an Ao dai (traditional long dress) designed by Calvin Hiep and Minh Quang. She will also perform a traditional dance for the Talent event of the competition.
She will compete against more than 80 contestants from around the world, hoping to win the crown at the final round of the Miss Earth 2012 pageant in the Philippine capital Manila on November 24.
