On June 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction and Becamex Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for four social housing projects comprising a total of 6,229 apartments in Chanh Hiep Ward.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh, Ho Chi Minh City Vice Chairman Hoang Nguyen Dinh and representatives from municipal departments and agencies.

The four developments will include 15 apartment towers rising between 20 and 22 storeys. Around 1,000 apartments are expected to be allocated for long-term rental under the city's affordable housing programme.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hoang Nguyen Dinh praised the developer's proactive approach in securing financial resources, land and project preparation for large scale social housing and rental housing developments.

"I urge the developer, consultants and design teams to devote maximum resources to ensuring the projects are completed on schedule, while maintaining construction quality, workplace safety and full compliance with legal regulations," Dinh said.
