The Ministry of Health on March 28 reported that each week sees an additional number of 1,900-2,000 HFM cases, equal to the figure recorded in high season last year.
Next week, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien will lead a delegation to inspect preventive activities in An Giang and Dong Thap provinces which have the highest numbers of fatal cases caused by the epidemic.
Earlier, another delegation led by deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long made a fact-finding tour of Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province.
