Widespread moderate to heavy rain, with localized torrential downpours, hit Cao Bang between June 28 and 30 and into the early hours of July 1, causing significant damage to infrastructure, homes and agricultural production.

On July 1, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment said the heavy rain damaged 202 houses, inundated nearly 349 hectares of newly planted rice, buried more than 30 hectares of crops and swept away nearly 200 poultry.
Initial estimates put total losses in Cao Bang at around VND 17 billion (approximately USD 650,000).
Meanwhile, Tuyen Quang also experienced widespread moderate to heavy rainfall, with some areas recording exceptionally high precipitation, including 168 mm in Vi Thuong, 151 mm in Xuan Giang and 139 mm in Dong Tam.
The severe weather damaged 63 houses, affected 134 hectares of rice fields and nearly 30 hectares of vegetables and other crops.
Authorities estimated losses in the province at about VND 17 billion (approximately USD 650,000).
Tuyen Quang authorities are closely monitoring areas at high risk of natural disasters and implementing measures to protect residents and property in the event of further emergencies.
