The testing for students at Le Van Tam Secondary School

Le Van Tam Secondary School accounts for the majority, with 230 students struggling with these symptoms.

Among the students, 18 were selected randomly for the Covid-19 testing, but all of them tested negative for the virus. Food safety standards at the two schools have also been ensured.

The department has instructed the HCM City for Disease Control to cooperate with Binh Thanh District and local paediatrics hospitals for giving medical check-ups and diagnosis to the students.

According to experts, the children may face respiratory viruses such as rhinovirus and adenovirus. With these kinds of virus, patients can gradually recover without being hospitalised. To date, none among the affected students at the two schools have been hospitalised due to the symptoms.
