The department has sent an official document to DP Green Technology Company and the Area 3 Inland Waterway Port Authority about the suspension of the high-speed boat which connects District 1 and Cu Chi District in HCM City to Binh Duong Province. The department has approved the proposal to suspend the boat line by DP Green Technology Company.
According to the department, this move is also in accordance with the city's directives about preventing crowd gatherings to prevent the spread of the virus.
DP Green Technology Company must publicly announce the suspension and regularly inspect and maintain the vehicles and follow environmental protection regulations.
The 78 km route on the Saigon River runs through Tiamo Port in Binh Duong Province and ends in Cu Chi District, bringing the tourists to Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc tunnels. The route also connects many tourist spots and historical sites.
Each boat can carry 96 to 100 passengers. There are boat rental packages offered for smaller boats.
