The airport announced on August 28 that during the five-day holiday, the two busiest days will be August 31 and September 1 when they expect to serve 740 flights with 130,000 passengers per day.
Earlier during the peak summer season which lasted from June 1 to August 15, the airport served 56,195 flights with over 9.50 million passengers, up 3.76 percent and 6.67 percent respectively against last year's figure.
Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi has also estimated that some 410,000 passengers will go through the airport on nearly 2,500 flights during the National Day holiday this year, up 37 percent and 17 percent, respectively, on-year.
Vietnam will enjoy a five-day break from August 31 to September 4 during this year's National Day celebrations, with millions of people preparing to leave major cities for home or popular tourist destinations.
