Dantri's representative just visited the twins, Minh Anh and Minh Khang, and transferred VND 196,633,751 to their mother.
The mother, Vu Thi Van, expressed her sincere thanks to Dantri and kind donors for their valuable support.
"Thanks to the support from many kind donors, I've been able to access better treatment for my children," Van said. "They are improving but doctors said that their treatment would last long."
According to the mother, she and her husband could not conceive for seven years and decided to spend all their savings to pay for artificial insemination to have the twins.
After several failures, they were happy to welcome twins, a girl and a boy, in 2019. However, their happy days didn't last long as they started to see their children's abnormal signs when they were five months old. Taking them to the hospital, the couple were told that the twins both suffered from cerebral palsy and epilepsy which would need long treatment.
While Van has had to stop her work to take care of the children, her husband's modest income as a driver could not afford the treatment. The couple are calling for financial support for their children.
