Hanoi Police hand over an internationally wanted Korean national to the Republic of Korea (RoK) police on February 13.

During a routine review, police in Tay Mo Ward identified CHOI JAEKI, 40, who displayed suspicious behaviour. Further verification revealed that he was wanted by the Korean National Police for organising illegal gambling activities and also subject to an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol.

On November 17, 2025, the police successfully apprehended the suspect while he was hiding in Hanoi.

At Noi Bai International Airport, the Immigration Management Office of the Hanoi Police, together with Tay Mo Ward Police and the Investigation Police Agency, completed the necessary procedures to hand over the fugitive to the Korean National Police in line with Vietnamese law and international practices.

The transfer once again affirmed the determination of Vietnamese police forces in tackling transnational crime and further strengthened international cooperation in maintaining security and public order.
