According to Trinh Hoai Linh, vice director of the academy, the A320/321 sim pocket was developed in 2021 to serve students of their pilot training courses before being opened to the public in mid-2022.

"We wanted to provide the opportunity for the public to learn about the work of a pilot to see if they like the career," Linh said. "People are given a 60-minute session and are put in total control of their airliner as they fly from Noi Bai Airport with a professional instructor."

Linh said that they are receiving customers aged between 6 - 45, including people studying to become pilots, and those who just want to visit and take photos.

"We're receiving more and more customers but can only serve 10 customers a day," he said. "We’ve been fully booked for November."

Dang Huong from Thanh Xuan District said that she has just taken her two sons aged 8 and 15 to try the flight simulator experience.

"My sons enjoyed their flights and I think USD 50 a person for the 60-minute experience is worth it," Huong said.
