The luxury cruise ship takes passengers to Bo Hung Islands that has not been licensed for tourism services in Ha Long Bay on July 12.

An inspection team led by Ha Long City People's Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Son discovered that two Au Co boats carrying 120 tourists and a Star Light boat with 30 passengers on board had visited the Bo Hung Islands on July 12 and that tourists had relaxed and swam at the Ban Chan Beach there.

Local authorities have yet to licence tourism services on the Bo Hung Islands.

The captains of the two Au Co boats, Tran Van Hoan and Mac Thanh Cong both said that they had followed directions from Bhaya Cruises Company Director Le Viet Duc, who is the owner of the boats. However, the two captains failed to show papers with permission from local authorities to organise events on Ban Chan Beach.

Captain of the Star Light boat, Nguyen Ba Cuong, also said that he was directed by the Marketing and Sales Department of the Hai Phong Company to take tourists to the Bo Hung Islands but failed to show a licence.

The Ha Long City People's Committee Vice Chairman asked the three captains to come and work with the Ha Long City Department of Urban Management. The three boats have also been confiscated.
