According to initial information, the robbery occurred at a bank branch on Truong Chinh Street, Hoi Phu Ward, at around 4 pm on January 19.

At the time, two men wearing outfits similar to Grab drivers and motorcycle helmets suddenly rushed into the bank’s transaction office. One suspect stood at the entrance to block staff and customers from leaving, while the other entered the counter area and used an object resembling a gun to threaten employees and demand money.

Seeing what appeared to be a firearm, bank staff and customers panicked and fled. After taking the cash, the suspects quickly escaped on a motorbike with license plate 77G1,313.12.

After receiving the report, Gia Lai police coordinated with relevant units to secure the scene, conduct examinations and deploy professional measures to track down the suspects.

Investigators said the two suspects fled in the direction of Ham Rong intersection in Hoi Phu Ward. Police have urged anyone with information related to the case to report it to the nearest authorities.
