Four killed in Libya clashes: opposition, NGO

At least four people have been killed in clashes at demonstrations against the regime of Colonel Moamer Kadhafi.

At least four people have been killed in clashes at demonstrations against the regime of Colonel Moamer Kadhafi, opposition websites and Libyan NGOs based overseas reported Thursday.

At least four people have been killed in clashes at demonstrations against the regime of Colonel Moamer Kadhafi, opposition websites and Libyan NGOs based overseas reported Thursday.

The clashes occured on Wednesday in the eastern Libyan town of Al-Baida.

"Internal security forces and militias of the Revolutionary Committees used live ammunition to disperse a peaceful demonstration by the youth of Al-Baida," leaving "at least four dead and several injured," according to Libya Watch, a London-based human rights group.

Opposition websites, including Libya Al-Youm, also based in London, similarly reported at least four protesters were killed by live ammunition.
