The incident came to light after a video circulated online showing the tourist using food to tease a troop of monkeys in the area. The man was seen strapping bananas around his waist, arms and legs before approaching the animals on the mountain.
He appeared delighted as monkeys rushed towards him to grab the bananas, despite the potential danger.

Staff from a nearby resort intervened and asked the tourist to stop the behaviour, which authorities described as inappropriate and unsafe.
The Son Tra Peninsula and Danang Beaches Management Board said tourism officers later approached the scene, warned the tourist and ordered him to stop feeding the monkeys.
The video sparked debate online, with many users criticising the tourist for ignoring wildlife protection rules, noting that signs banning the feeding of monkeys are posted throughout the area.
Despite repeated warnings and public awareness campaigns, some visitors continue to feed wild animals out of curiosity, according to Danang authorities.
The management board said it would step up patrols and public awareness efforts to ensure visitors comply with wildlife protection rules and help preserve the natural ecosystem on Son Tra Peninsula.
