
Five houses are burnt down after a family built a fire to keep warm at their home in the central province of Quang Nam on February 2.
Secretary of the Tay Giang District Party Committee, Bhling Mia told Dantri/Dtinews on Thursday morning that the incident occurred at 3.30 am in the mountainous commune of A Xan.
"A family burnt wood inside their house to keep warm through the night," the official said. "The fire then broke out and quickly spread to other neighbouring houses. We sent a rescue team to the scene to help put out the fire, evacuate people, and move out their belongings."

The fire was brought under control at 5.30 am but five stilt houses were burnt down with losses estimated at over VND 1 billion. Luckily there were no human losses.
