Vietnamese marksmen secured their first medal after locking down third place in shooting competition at the ongoing 17th Asian Games in the Korean city of Incheon on September 20.
Thanks to their outstanding performance, three Vietnamese shooters Hoang Xuan Vinh, Nguyen Hoang Phuong and Tran Quoc Cuong were placed third, after Chinese and Korean opponents, in the men’s 50m pistol category.
With 1,692 points, China won the gold medal, while the silver medal went to the Republic of Korea (RoK) although the host country shared the same score with Vietnam (1,670 points).
